The deep work, without losing an afternoon to traffic.
Online Therapy and Couples Counseling Anywhere in Texas
You don't have time to drive across town to fall apart.
Between work, the pickup line, and the parent who needs a ride to the cardiologist, a one hour session turns into a three hour errand. So therapy goes on the list of things you'll get to later, right under the dentist and the plumber.
Online therapy takes the drive out of it. You close your office door, take the call from your car in the school parking lot, or log on from the guest room with the door shut. Same therapist, same depth, no commute.
Yes, the deeper work happens on video too.
You may be wondering whether trauma work can happen through a screen. It can. I'm certified in EMDR and Brainspotting, and I use both online every week. We set up your space before we start, I watch your breath and your body on screen the way I would in my office, and we go at a pace that keeps you steady. If something big comes up, we slow down and land it before the session ends, so you're not left holding it alone after you log off.
I also use IFS, for the critic that never takes a day off.
Couples counseling online, from anywhere in Texas
Two jobs, two calendars, maybe a teenager who needs the car. Getting both of you to the same office at the same hour can be the hardest part of couples therapy. Online, you log on together from the same couch.
Every couple starts with the Relationship Roadmap: three sessions that show you both what's driving the pattern and what it would take to change it. All three can happen on Zoom, including the individual time with each of you. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy through ICEEFT, and online sessions are the same length and the same rate as in person. Both of you need to be physically in Texas for each session.
How online sessions work
Secure video. We meet on a Zoom account set up for healthcare, with a signed HIPAA business associate agreement and a waiting room that's always on. Your link stays the same every week, so you can save it.
You need to be in Texas. That's a licensing rule, not a preference. If you're out of state that week, we reschedule.
A private spot is all you need. A parked car works. A closed door works. Headphones help.
Paperwork and payment stay simple. Intake forms and your card on file live in Therapy Notes, my secure client portal.
Same sessions, same fees. Current fees are on my Rates page.
Where online clients log on from
I see clients in person in Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley, and online anywhere in Texas. Online clients log on from Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Laredo, Lubbock, the Hill Country, and the small towns in between. If you're in Texas, you're in range.
Hi, I’m Keely
I'm an LPC Supervisor, a trauma specialist certified in EMDR and Brainspotting, and a BRIA Certified Menopause Mental Health Provider.
My office is in Brownsville, and I work with women and couples across Texas on Zoom every week.
The work I do most: anxiety that doesn't look like anxiety, trauma and betrayal, grief (including the loss of a spouse or partner), perimenopause and menopause anxiety, perfectionism and people-pleasing, and couples stuck in the same fight.

Therapy Intensives
Therapy intensives run in Brownsville and on South Padre Island, and some women travel in for a focused block of work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is online therapy the same as telehealth or virtual therapy?
Yes. Online therapy, telehealth, and virtual therapy all mean the same thing here: we meet by secure video. It's the same work I do in my Brownsville office, including EMDR and Brainspotting. You just do it from your own space.
Does online therapy work as well as meeting in person?
For many women, it does, and the time you save makes it easier to keep going. Some people simply do better in a room together. If that's you, we'll talk about it in the consult and find the right fit.
Can you do EMDR or Brainspotting online?
Yes. I use both on video every week. We set up your space first, go at a pace that keeps you steady, and land the session before you log off.
Can my partner and I do couples therapy online?
Yes. Couples therapy is available online anywhere in Texas, at the same rates and session lengths as in person, including all three sessions of the Relationship Roadmap. Both partners need to be physically located in Texas at the time of each session.
Do I have to live in Brownsville or the Rio Grande Valley?
No. I see clients online anywhere in Texas. You need to be physically in Texas at the time of each session, which includes traveling within the state.
What do I need for an online session?
A private space, a phone or computer with a camera, and a steady internet connection. Headphones help. Your Zoom link stays the same every week.
What does it cost, and do you take insurance?
I run a private pay therapy practice and I'm not in network with insurance. For individual therapy I provide superbills you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and I accept HSA and FSA cards. Couples therapy is private pay with no superbill. You can see current fees on my Rates page.
How do I get started?
Book a free 15 minute consult on Zoom. It isn't therapy. It's a short conversation about what's going on and whether we're a good fit.
You can start from wherever you are.
A free 15 minute consult on Zoom is enough to know if this feels right. No drive, no waiting room, just a real conversation about what's going on and what would help you.
